Local Athlete places 4th at NCAA Track Championship

Hendricks Avenue Elementary and Episcopal High School alum, Garrett Scantling, placed fourth in the NCAA Track Championship Decathlon this past week. Scantling, a junior at the University of Georgia, improved from 9th overall last year and continues to excel at one of the toughest all around events in college sport. The ten event, two day competition took place in Eugene, Oregon. Noted below are Garrett’s individual event marks and a gallery of photos from the event.
