Last month, San Marco Bookstore Owners flew to New York City and attended BookExpo 2017, the largest gathering of authors, publishers, booksellers and librarians in the country!  They each took an empty suitcase and filled it to the brim with books!  They also shipped seven boxes of books back to Jacksonville.

Now, the suitcases and the boxes are unpacked and they want you to see these books before they’re even published.  Each book will have a ticket!  The ticket will correspond to a donation amount for that book.  When you pay for your tickets, you’ll get to take the books home!  This is a fundraiser for the Jacksonville Public Library, so San Marco Bookstore will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Library summer reading program!

They’ve got children’s books, adult fiction and non-fiction.  They also met many authors and got them to sign the books!  Just a few of the authors that they met include:  Hallie Ephron, Neil Patrick Harris, Alice Hoffman, Marissa Meyer, Celeste Ng, Maria Shriver, Maggie Stiefvater, R.L. Stine, Amy Tan and there were so many more!

So, please join them for this exciting event that starts Thursday night, June 29th at 7 p.m. and lasts through close of business on Saturday, July 1st, unless they run out of books!
