GreenscapeGreenscape of Jacksonville serves to enrich our community through the planting, protection and promotion of trees. The organization was formed in 1975 with a desire to improve the Jacksonville landscape. The first project completed by Greenscape was the planting of 250 commemorative trees along downtown sidewalks. Trees make important contributions to society and are an integral part of urban infrastructure. In our environment, they clean and cool the air, buffer sound and wind, provide animal habitats, and shade and beautify our neighborhoods.
