Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton, City Council member Art Shad and the City of Jacksonville’s Department of Recreation and Community Services (JaxParks) attended the ribbon cutting to celebrate the new playground equipment and the addition of sidewalks at Granada Park (3960 Alcazar Ave).  New amenities include a playground, swings and a slide made from recycled materials.  These changes coincides with Mayor Peyton’s “Go Green Jax” initiative and help Granada Park become a more eco-friendly park.  Sidewalks were also installed from the curb to the playground ramp to ensure accessibility for all to the play area.
