Hendricks Avenue Elementary and Julia Landon College Prep competed with 120 of the city’s top scholastic chess players in the “Jacksonville Scholastic Chess Championship” held at Jacksonville Country Day School.  Hendricks Avenue grades 3-5  placed first over-all (k-2 placed 2nd) and Julia Landon College Prep placed second overall,  just one-half point out of first.   Congratulations to all of the San Marco students for their outstanding performance this year.
