Landon College Prep Chess Team held their awards ceremony yesterday and recognized another successful year of chess.  This year’s team finished second in the Jacksonville City Championships, narrowly missing 1st place by only 1/2 point.  In addition to competing in the city championship, the team also participated in a school level tournament to determine this year’s school champion as well as grade level crowns.  The tournament results are noted below:

2nd place 8th grade – N. Pelligrino
3rd place 8th grade – R. Serofini

1st place 7th grade – R. Foote

1st place 6th grade – M. Menzel
2nd place 6th grade – T. Hale
