As we were riding our bikes to work and school this morning we stopped to say hello to our newest residents, four goslings.  They have been waddling around the park the past week – doing their best to calm the traffic on San Jose Boulevard.  As far as I can tell, Mr. and Mrs. Goose have done a good job keeping them safe.  You can see them flanking the babies in the photo.  I tried to get a little closer but the beaks were snapping away!  It will be fun to watch them grow and start flying around.  I feel blessed to live in a neighborhood with so many interesting creatures.
