Hooray for MOSH, a treasured museum in our neighborhood. For the 28th year in a row, MOSH remains accredited by the American Association of Museums (AAM). Only 776 (or 4%) of the 17,500 museums in the nation hold an accreditation from AAM. About 50 museums throughout Florida, including the Cummer, are also accredited by the AAM.

The rigorous AAM review process can take up to three years and includes a self-study and a committee visit. Museums are reviewed approximately every ten years to maintain accredited status.
