On August 13th, the Board of Southside held its annual tennis awards banquet at Balis Community Center. This year, the group had a special honoree, Coach Harrell Thomas. This year will be Coach Thomas’s 25th year at Southside Park.
Coach Thomas was recognized for his outstanding service to the City, to the members of the many tennis teams he coaches, and to the countless children he has taught over the years. While everyone acknowledged his skill at the sport, it was his teaching ability, patience, and demeanor that were mentioned time and again and that make him such an asset to our community. Thank you Coach Thomas for all you do!
