(Source: Loriboyer.org) This year’s Capital Budget includes $100,000 for the design of a stacking lane on the northbound side of Old San Jose south of the entrance to Hendricks Elementary. The location is generally depicted below. During the morning rush hours, school drop-off backs up traffic on the roadway which not only causes delays but is also a contributing factor to cut through traffic on nearby residential streets.  Sufficient right of way exists without impacting the sidewalk. The design will determine the appropriate length, locate any utility or drainage facility conflicts and provide a construction cost estimate. Any residual funds can be used for construction.
