Tomorrow night, Thursday, July 14th, a town hall meeting is being held to discuss the possible opening of a Flying Iguana restaurant in San Marco Square. The restaurant is considering taking up residence in the current Stellars Gallery space.
Flying Iguana has requested exceptions for full alcohol sales; a reduction in the required amount of provided parking to zero, impacting the existing parking situation in and near the Square. The restaurant parking may affect church and other privately-owned parking lots.
These topics and more are expected to be discussed at tomorrow’s town hall. This meeting is an open public forum which residents, neighbors, and business owners are encouraged to attend. Council President Boyer and other interested parties will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information to the community.
The town hall will begin at 6:30 pm at Preservation Hall, which is located at 1652 Atlantic Blvd. We look forward to finding solutions and working with The Flying Iguana.
