Dostie ’99 Becomes First Second-Generation NEFBA President

In January 2018, Bolles alumnus Chris Dostie ’99 became the first second-generation president of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, following in the footsteps of his father, Richard Dostie ’72. He joins several other Bolles alumni to serve in the role. Richard Dostie served as NEFBA president in 1988, Chet Skinner ’98 served in 2016 and Rick Morales ’81 served in 2015.

“I was recently asked to explain my underlying principles for success in business and in life,” Chris Dostie wrote in a letter to the NEFBA membership. “Let me share the wisdom of my Bolles School football coach, Corky Rogers: ‘Every day that ends in ‘y’ is a great day to get better.’ That simple message still rings true. In fact, you may hear me say it once in awhile. I plan to carry it into the president’s office and hope it inspires you as much as it has me.”
