Beach Buggy, a free ride company that was started in the Jacksonville Beaches area in 2014, has expanded their service to San Marco!

Beach Buggy will provide FREE rides and recommendations to the residents, business tenants, and visitors of the San Marco community. They will operate environmentally friendly, zero emission, long-range, 10-seat, fully electric Buggys.

Riders are able to request an on-demand Free ride To/From any sponsor location, To/From anywhere else in the coverage area. The Free App, available on Apple and Android, can be downloaded from beachbuggyapp.com

Since they began at the beach, with the support of local business sponsors, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, and North Florida Sales “Enjoy Responsibly” Campaign, they have grown ridership to over 11,000 riders a month during peak times!

The San Marco Merchants Association started working with Beach Buggy in the fall of 2018 to bring their services to San Marco and bring this innovative service to this beloved riverfront community.

Their help was critical with the necessary introductions to local owners and community leaders and providing a platform to secure private funding to launch phase one of the Buggy service.

The current coverage area is from the St Johns River to the West and North, to Kings Ave to the East, and River Oaks Rd to the South. (See Map Below)
