Nestled in the community of San Marco, in downtown Jacksonville, The Spice & Tea Exchange® of San Marco (Jacksonville) offers a high-quality, diverse assortment of spices, teas, seasonings, salts, sugars, and more in a sensory shopping experience. One step into the shop will kick your senses into high-gear as you open the jars and smell, explore recipes, and speak with the knowledgeable staff about your culinary interests.
“I first discovered The Spice & Tea Exchange when it first opened as the Old Florida Spice Traders,” says Rush. “The local newspaper wrote about its opening and from the first words I read, I was hooked. I started with white peppercorn, discovered Butcher’s Blend, and consumed cup after cup of Mint-Chilla Chai-Nilla. Even in casual conversations about the future, the thought of “what if we opened a Spice & Tea Exchange…” was always there as a dream just out of reach – at least until one day in 2020 when we were talking about what happens after Covid. Instead of saying maybe one day, we found ourselves saying why not now?
When asked about the San Marco (Jacksonville) community, Rush remarks, “Opening a store in San Marco has been a literal dream come true. Being at the heart of such a beautiful historic district is a treat, but the real beauty is in the people we meet each day. Everyone has been welcoming – the San Marco community and merchants as well as the greater area of Jacksonville itself.”
The Spice & Tea Exchange® will kick off the Launch Party Weekend on Friday, April 8 with swag bags, special promotions, and BOGO Happy Hour teas from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
