The new speed tables on Lorimier, Dunsford and River Oaks should be installed within the next thirty days. The speed tables will be installed by the developer of Jackson Square as the result of an agreement entered into several years ago and are designed to mitigate traffic impacts of the proposed development on Philips Highway. Soon after completion of the speed tables, work will begin on improvements to the River Oaks railroad grade crossing. That work will necessitate closure of River Oaks at the crossing and detour traffic will be routed to Lorimier. The crossing work and detour is expected to last about 2-3 weeks.
